I'm starting to feel like each of the three little pigs. Cleaner, though.
Is it the power outlets? The user? The Baseball Gods again mocking me? (This time it happened right before the All-Star Game.)
I don't know, but this time at least most of my data was retrievable. Of course, more than half of my applications were lost. I just don't get that...
So, I was able to get the computer fixed and back quickly, but I'm still in the process (the ever-continuing it seems) process of replacing applications.
Anyone got any neat Mac apps they'd suggest, let me know. I know there are things I've lost that I can't think of.
Like my mind...
My first computer, a big ole 40+ pounder from back in 1990, tended to get jealous easily. I bought a new toaster, it would stop working for a week. I'd buy it a new SoundBlaster, it would start working again. We got a Super Nintendo, it decided it was afraid of the dark, and would only work if you left the casing open by about an inch in the back. I begin to wonder if the same is true with my modern MacBook, since just last week we purchased a new DVD/VCR combo (or is that DVD/VHS?) and mom got me an HD TV for my birthday. One of these days I'll have to remember to let her know what I want a month or two in advance so I can actually get a gift instead of her just stepping in and paying for something I'm already budgeted for.
Meaning, one of these days I'll get a Tablet. Really I will...
