About 30 years ago my mom was dating this guy. And when Christmas time rolled around, he brought over his old Lionel train set. He'd never had any sons, and all his daughters were too grown up to play with something like that. The set had been in storage for a good 10 years, and really needed to be cleaned - scoured down with steel wool. And, little 4 year old me wasn't allowed to help. I could hurt myself with steel wool.

And 30 years later, I finally managed to do so. I can't help but feeling like Sleeping Beauty, finally getting around to finding that spindle and pricking her finger. But that would have been easier to clean up.

I was tearing some steel wool apart over the sink, and nearly ripped off the tip of my left index finger. And for something that tore into my flesh like piano wire, it left an incredibly ragged cut. Thankfully, being over the kitchen sink at the time means I got it cleaned out nicely.

However, fingertips are a pain in the butt to bandage. And it's also real hard to do things with your fingertip all bandaged up. Washing my hair was a nightmare. But worst of all, is how much harder it is to do anything on the computer. Typing is rather a challenge. And, since I do all my colouring with the track pad - colouring is a challenge.

So, for all those wondering why I've been less productive than usual, or less communicative than usual - here's why.
